Ever since 1950 when Takims Holidays first opened its doors to travel and tourism on the island of Zanzibar, innovation was at the forefront of what they did. The company represented the first European airlines, flying charters to and from the island, a feat unheard of in those days. Today as a third-generation family business, with offices in both Arusha and Dar es Salaam, they are uniquely positioned as an independent luxury DMC with several accreditations.  

The company is impartial, and unaffiliated with any hotel chain or property. The only focus of Trakims Holidays is on working with their B2B partners around the world to provide tailor-made itineraries, with the ability to mix and match from a wide array of luxury properties, always keeping the clients’ interest at the forefront. They maintain one of the newest fleets of 4x4 Cruisers in the industry, with specific emphasis on the small details that take the client experience from great to outstanding. Their itineraries are experience focused with the priorities being on excellent product knowledge and a high emphasis on guide training.
