Singer Palace Hotel

Rome, Italy

Back in 1850 Mr. Singer, a famous American entrepreneur, invented the very first sewing machine and opened the Roman headquarter in 1930. Later on, Singer Palace changed use, but always kept its original charm and mirrored its central location. In 2018, the Visocchi family reconverted Singer Palace into a chic boutique hotel, adding a contemporary touch to the historic location. Centrally located in the heart of Rome, the Singer is walking distance from all the major historical sights of the city as well as the best shopping roads. Within a short walk to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Venezia, Spanish Steps, and Colosseum, Singer Palace delights all guests with its beautiful 30 rooms, including 10 suites and 10 connecting rooms and suites.

WHAT WE LOVE

WHAT WE LOVE

The heart of the hotel is located on two top floors of this beautiful art-deco building, created in 1930. So you could say it is an upside-down hotel! Le Terrazze Restaurant and Jim's Bar are not, as you would expect, located on the ground floor, but on the 5th and 6th floor respectively. This has the huge advantage that both offer terraces with spectaciular 270-degree views accross the historic city of Rome. So regardless if you are enjoying a good cup of Italian coffee in the morning, a plate of the Rome's best Pasta Carbonara for lunch or an Aperol Spritz in the evening, you can rest assured that you will be doing this with some of the most amazing views of the city!

OLIVIA'S ADVICE

OLIVIA'S ADVICE

When arriving and staying at the Singer Palace Hotel, have a good look at the building, both from the outside and inside when walking through all the publc areas. The building was originally constructed by the Singer Company, the world-famous sewing machine manufacturers, in 1930. Up until today, the building features a lot of the original art-deco design of the 30s and attributes to the company that created it. It starts with the iconic Singer logo above the main door, a display of rare and antique sewing machines next to the original full-marble staircase, as well as the beautiful art-deco features on the outside of the building decorating the 4th floor.
