Forbes Travel Guide, a world-renowned American guide and the only global classification system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas, has just announced its annual Star Rating List, giving the Brunelleschi Hotel the 4-star recognition for Forbes Travel Guide’s “2020 Star Awards”. All the prize-winners are listed on the official Forbes Travel Guide website: ForbesTravelGuide.com.

In fact, the presence of the Pagliazza Byzantine tower (the oldest building in the city), a medieval church and Roman ruins in the foundations are mentioned. The Pagliazza Tower Suite is called “one of the most extraordinary suites in the city”, thanks to the historical preservation of the tower and the harmony among the ancient and design furnishings.

«It is difficult to get an evaluation of the tourist guide of Forbes and all our winners have proven to be incredibly deserving of their awards showing total dedication in their passion for service. We congratulate everyone», concludes CEO Boyen.

The Travel Guide of the authoritative US economics and finance magazine Forbes, founded in 1917, annually announces its Global Star Rating, which is the only global classification system for the best luxury hotels, restaurants and spas in the world.

Only the structures that meet the strict standards of Forbes enter in the Gotha of hospitality and obtain the coveted stars. Highly professional inspectors stay in disguise and meticulously check each structure, evaluating it according to an evaluation protocol that takes up to 900 criteria into consideration, with emphasis on exceptional service, to help discerning travellers select the best luxury experiences in the world. The only way to obtain a five-star, four-star or recommended rating is through inspection.

The Brunelleschi Hotel
The doorway opens onto a cozy square in the heart of Florence, a few steps from the Duomo, Palazzo della Signoria and the Uffizi Gallery: the hotel is surrounded by the shopping streets and the most famous museums of the city. The building includes a Byzantine tower dating from the 6th century and a medieval church, completely renovated yet respecting the original features. Inside, a private museum displays exhibits found during the tower restoration and a bath of Roman origin, now set in the foundations. The Brunelleschi Hotel is part of the Florentine Historical Businesses. The hotel has been renovated in a very elegant contemporary -classic style, where soft shades and the gray color of the typical local stone predominate.
